INDIA- NON-REVENUE WATER MANAGEMENT

Working in partnership with Larsen and Toubro, one of India’s largest contracting companies, IWS successfully completed a three year, $50 million contract to reduce non- revenue water in Bangalore India.

IWS provided strategic consulting services on two leakage management projects each serving around 1.5 million people and each covering 50 square kilometres.

These two projects located in the South and West of Bangalore city comprised 170 District Meter Areas with a total of around 3000 kilometres of distribution system pipe work. The initial average leakage was around 50% and the target to be achieved was 20% during the three-year project. The scope of work included DMA establishment, leak detection and rectification, main strengthening, and domestic meter replacement.
